Narrative Report:

I have been in Private Practice Limited to Periodontics and Dental Implants since 1992 in Newton Massachusetts.

I have taught first as a Clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Periodontology and then as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts until 1997.

My first experience at TUSDM in the Clinic was as an instructor with the ECEP. The Early Clinical Experience was a programme run by the Department of Periodontology to teach 2nd year students diagnosis, instrumentation, and scaling and root planning.

As my practice required more attention I decide to leave Tufts and focus on my practice full time and teach part time at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where I am presently a Clinical Instructor.

I have always held teaching in high regard and have used it as an opportunity for me to keep informed of new trends. I have felt this was an important component of my professional development. I have also been invited to seminars and lectured regularly at the school, in study clubs, nationally and internationally.

I am invited regularly to India to lecture with numerous dental groups and organizations.

After my training in Periodontics which was limited to Periodontics I decide to complete a mini residency privately with Dr. Carl Misch which was a leading program at the time and who has since been recognized to be a leader in the field on dental implants. In addition, I have trained with Dr. Hilt Tatum and Dr. Daniel Buser to further my skills in Sinus Elevation and Ridge Augmentation Techniques and dental implants and am continually trying to improve my skills.

Although, I had not had the opportunity to work in research at Tufts I am a critical thinker, fully appreciate the importance of research and would participate in any research opportunity that might arise in the future.

The Post doctoral Clinic allows me to share my skill and learn new creative ideas from the clinic to incorporate into my armamentarium of procedures.

Finally, I take pride in saying that I have been at Harvard Dental School with the Department of Periodontology since 1998 and in knowing my time there has resulted in contributions to the clinical careers of our future Periodontists and researchers.
